Gallery 'Calico' Collection
'The project came off the back of a commissioned abstract landscape in which I decided to leave some of the underlying canvas showing. I liked the texture of the material so decided to do more images in which the canvas showed. I sourced some grey linen (high quality canvas) and completed a 26 painting project for a show. As the project progressed it became an exploration of colour, composition, technique, and ideas as much as texture.'
